KV Ottapalam bags Harit Vidyalaya Award for the best Harit School in Ernakulam Region, satisfying all the criteria such as Medicinal Plant Garden, Vegetable Garden ,Solar Power Plant, Rain Water Harvesting, Biogas Plant-runs with food waste of children and the biogas is utilised in labs and slurry is used as manure and Vermi Compost Unit and with a green campus with trees and plants in all possible places.
